There has been a small increase in the price of one-way metro tickets effective August 1, 2016. They now cost €1.90, a 10 centimes increase. The Carnet [book] of 10 rises by 40 centimes to €14.50 – this is always the best buy.
If you have any ‘old’ unused tickets they still are valid – same for RER tickets.
Tip: Always keep your ticket until you exit the metro system – the ticket police can pounce en-mass at the exit and check all tickets. They will fine you on the spot
