Hello! We are Ralph and Karen, an American couple who fell in love with Paris and France over 20 years ago. Work-related trips brought us here, but we kept coming back for holidays, then extended visits, and then…
In 2005, we evaluated and decided nothing was stopping us from buying a place of our own in Paris.
Lots of research, learning, and many kilometers of sneaker-rubber later, we put our house in the United States on the market. It sold in 10 days, and we found our apartment in Montmartre two months later.
The Best Laid Plans…
After a massive, year-long renovation project and its many challenges, we hit our biggest bump yet. As it turned out, we had to stay based in the US after all. Our lovingly remodeled apartment in Paris became a place where we returned only for short visits.
In 2008, we started renting to guests—travelers like we once were (we always preferred apartments over expensive, cramped hotels).
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Le Trésor de Montmartre has proved quite popular, to the extent that we have trouble finding a break in the booking calendar to stay there ourselves!
Call Us Crazy
In the midst of this, we found Nice.
After several holidays in and around Nice, we thought, why not buy a pied-à-terre in the area? Despite the challenges involved in renovating from afar—which we knew very well at that point—we jumped in again in late 2010.
La vie est belle
Nice is one of those destinations that’s on everyone’s bucket list and after a year’s successful renting we were called upon to manage another apartment in the city, and another, and so began a new era… as Nice Property Rental Managers.
Don’t forget we were still doing all this remotely. We had to get the bookings and provide a friendly and professional on-the-ground service for travellers. We were lucky to develop a great friendship with our neighbors who became our local managers for all the apartments. We don’t know what we do without them! They do an excellent job of making our guests feel comfortable from check-in through to departure.
Au revoir Paris et bienvenue à Nice
Due to the introduction of short-term rental regulations, our apartment in Paris had to be taken off the market and is now only used for “friends” and family. Today, we are focused completely on Nice vacations.
All our Nice apartments are located in prime positions in the city centre or with beautiful sea and promenade views. Take a look around our website, view the apartments and our Nice travel blog. We hope to welcome you to Nice very soon!
Please get in touch with questions, or to book your stay at one of our apartments. We’d be happy to share our insider knowledge of these places we love so much.
What our visitors have to say
"Our trip is a week away, and I'm so impressed with the communication from the owner and our Paris point of contact. Wow! My French is very limited, and I've been so impressed with their desire to help us navigate around Paris before we even get there."Anne D.
"Beautiful apartment in a wonderful area of Paris. We will definitely be back again. Very clean well kept apartment. Ralph communicated with me throughout the whole process, and gave me suggestions as to what to see and do."Bruce W.
